Great reply to Jeff's post Brandon. Jeff and I have regular discussions around business, social networking and life in general. One thing that you and Jeff noted was that Twitter is a tool for collaboration between people, not the means to send the message. Twitter is only effective where there is trusting relationship built. I mean, come on, this is called social networking, not asocial networking! When the real estate agents use Twitter as a one way method of communications, it's totally asocial. No wonder it's unsuccessful; there is no personality behind the communications.

Using the right tool for the right job is a rule that all good tradespeople live by. In business, it is no different and when people whine about how ineffective twitter is, you nailed it when it begins with a human interaction; face to face is best, a phone call in the worst case scenario. Relationships take care, trust and time to build; Twitter only is a means when the bull work has been done long before a tweet gets sent out.

Keep up the good work and it was great to see you earlier today!
