Why I Don’t Do Flash Websites

With today’s announcement of the iPad2 which included stats of the iPad’s enormous success, it’s fair to say the iPad is here to stay. In addition to the iPad2 release, Apple announced that they have sold over 100 million iPhones. Still, one thing remains left out of all Apple Mobile Devices, a Flash Player. What this means, is any website built with flash components will not be visible on these wildly popular devices.
There are a number of DIY website builders out there and many of them allow you to build great looking portfolio sites. However, a great portion of them are built in flash. Although they look great and are usually inexpensive, a major downside is that they do not include an html option for their websites.
