I have to apologize for my lack of posts in the past month. I must say I’ve been busy keeping up with website maintenance and working on new upcoming websites. Not to mention I’ve had to make time for mosaic, not only volunteering but to enjoy the delicious food and drinks!
Right now I’ve been fortunate to have enough work to keep myself really busy. But what about the times when I’m not so lucky. How do I stay motivated to keep going?

It bothers me why so many people are still trying to use old methods of “advertising” to reach people. I’m going to assume that almost everyone is going to seek the opinion of another or do a quick google search of the product before they make their next purchase. So why use old mediums to try to tell people what to buy? It just doesn’t work. Here’s another video to help reinforce the facts.

This video is a bit of an oldie, but definitely important. It makes me think of all of the companies that use words like “Integrity”, “Customer Service”, “Quality” and “Honesty.” Yet, how many of these companies actually hold true to these values? It doesn’t matter how much you invest in advertising, branding and “marketing” your message. If you don’t follow through with your values and promises, you’re just lying to your customer.

Although these tips are aimed towards Tech startups, I still think many of these tips can be applied to any business. For those who don’t know who Guy Kawasaki is, he is currently the founder of Alltop and publisher of “Reality Check.”
